Young people are the bearers of solutions to environmental problems

This fall, we are going on a mission through 5 cities in Serbia, where we will work together with young people to solve environmental challenges in their communities.

The goal of the project “Youth are the bearers of solutions to environmental problems”: is empowering young people to take the initiative and become leaders of change in their communities. Through a series of talks and activities, we will support them in creating innovative solutions to preserve the environment.

It is very important to encourage and develop the responsibility of young people regarding their obligations in society, as well as the active building and nurturing of social values ​​in the community from which they come from. First of all, we would like young people to be informed about the existing ecological problems in the environment, as well as about the problems of the environment that surrounds them, but also about the natural resources in their immediate vicinity. Also, we would like to enable young people to get involved in decision-making processes about potential solutions to local environmental problems.

With the help of teachers as well as a professional project team, high school students will have the opportunity to present their opinion on local problems and present potential solutions to those problems in a creative and scientifically sound way. With that, we will get data that will be highlighted on our website and it will represent a unique database for monitoring the state of the environment in different cities across Serbia.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Youth as part of the implementation of the goals of the Strategy for Youth in the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2023 to 2030 and the program “Youth are the law”.
